Service Repair Department Notice
The following is an excerpt from our TERMS OF TRADE agreement between ELM USA and "the customer" sending in parts and or machine(s) to ELM USA Service department for repair.
MACHINES AND PARTS SENT TO ELM USA FOR SERVICE AND REPAIR: ELM USA will make every attempt to repair parts and machines within a reasonable amount of time. Most repairs are completed and shipped back within 14 days of approval from owner. However, ELM USA does not hold any guarantee on time needed for service repairs.
NOTE: AS OF 9/15/2020, HIGH VOLUMES OF REPAIRS SENT IN DUE TO COVID RELATED STORE CLOSURES AND REOPENINGS HAVE TURN-AROUND TIMES FOR SERVICE MACHINE REPAIRS AT ABOUT 4 WEEKS OR LONGER.
ABANDONED PARTS AND MACHINES IN SERVICE:ELM USA will make every reasonable attempt to contact a customer when their machine is complete. Payment in full is expected prior to shipment, unless other arrangements have been made with ELM USA. Any parts or machines left in service for more than 90 days without written communication will be considered abandoned. ELM USA holds no responsibility for abandoned parts and machines. ELM USA may dispose of your product in accordance with applicable provisions of law, and, specifically, may sell your product at a private or public sale to pay for any outstanding service performed. ELM USA reserves its statutory and any other lawful liens for unpaid charges, including diagnostic fees.
TELEPHONE AND EMAIL SUPPORT: ELM USA offers support free of charge. If the customer damages their equipment, ELM USA holds no liability or warranties any parts and for work performed by the customer when talking to our technical support staff VIA telephone or e-mail.
